How to perform a Property Search and Identify with GIS System

 

From the county web page you will need to click on Bertie County GIS Viewer/Downloads. On the Tax-Mapping page you will click on Bertie County GIS InfoViewer.

 

A Disclaimer notice will appear, Click on the OK button located at the bottom.

 

If you wish to view photos of the ground features, you will need to put a check in the box to the left of Ortho Photography located near the bottom of the list of layers.

 

On the left side of the screen, click on the Binoculars  icon. A box will appear under the map.

 

You can perform a search for the property in three different ways.

  1. Owners name. (i.e. Last, First)

  2. Address (i.e. 1403 S King St)

  3. Pin Number (i.e. 6812216199)

  4. Press Enter or click on the Find String button

 

In order to zoom to your parcel you need to click on the number under the word Rec.

 

In order to see a property record card, click on the numbers under GEOPIN.

 

In order to see a picture of the house or building, if available, click on picture underneath photo.

 

 

* Identify: You can use this to identify any parcel you see on the screen.

 

* Zoom In: Click and drag a box around the area you are wishing to zoom in to.

 

* Zoom Out: Click once to zoom out.

 

* Pan: The hand button allows you to pan by dragging the map image in the direction you want to go.

 

* Print: Click on this icon and a box will appear under the map. Click on the Create Print Page button. A second page will open and then you will need to do File and Print to print your map.
